Job description

Our client is a dynamic and successful water treatment company with a commitment to providing professional and quality services to a mixed portfolio of clients. This company is presently seeking a multi-skilled Water Treatment Service Engineer based in Aberdeen and will include applications from Stonehaven, Banchory, Balmedie, Westhill and the surrounding areas.

Requisites
  • Ideally, the applicant will have City & Guilds qualification and will be competent in using the computer – Microsoft Office Package.
  • Must have communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have significant practical experience – working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry, which will include tank cleaning, disinfections, cooling towers, acid descales, steam boilers, flushing and closed systems.
  • Must be fully conversant with current guidelines – (ACOP L8).
Role Will Encompass
  • Attending sites – and carrying out testing on closed and domestic systems.
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold water systems, cooling towers and closed and domestic sampling – checks.
  • Carrying out Closed System Analysis.
  • Steam boilers.
  • Flushing of water systems.
  • Carrying out acid scale inspections and descaling work.
  • Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems and interpreting the results at the same time.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
  • Maintaining paperwork and ensuring that all work is carried effectively and within time frame.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.

Overall, the successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and complete work within time line.

Must be prepared to travel to sites designated by the client.
