Job Description

Our client is a notable water treatment company that is looking for a self‑motivated, multi‑skilled Water Treatment Service Chemist based in York (applications accepted from Tadcaster, Malton, Easingwold, Boroughbridge and surrounding areas).

Key Responsibilities
  • Visiting sites and carrying out chemical analysis on steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems, complying with L8.
  • Working with a variety of commercial, industrial and manufacturing clients.
  • Updating information – log books.
  • Providing consultancy advice as and when required and dealing with issues appropriately and effectively.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Strong educational background in chemistry, technical, management and accounts.
  • Methodical and proficient.
  • Hold some form of qualification – City & Guilds would be beneficial.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Experience working on various industrial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package.
  • Hands‑on experience with cooling towers, steam boilers, etc.
  • Fully conversant with the water treatment industry and Health & Safety regulations.
