Job description

This large nationwide water treatment company has a vacancy for an experienced Water Treatment Service Chemist based in and around the Newcastle-upon-Tyne area. Applications from South Shields, Sunderland, Durham, Chester-le-Street and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

• Previous experience in this role essential.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential.
• Competent with Microsoft office package.

Role:

• Chemical Analysis on Cooling towers, Steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems.
• Maintenance on Domestic and Industrial water systems.
• Routine monitoring tasks at multiple sites.
• Dosing of systems, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and disinfection of systems.
• Providing the full range of Service Chemist duties on an array of systems across a variety of sectors.
• Flushing of Calorifiers.
• Updating of Site Log Books.
• Chemical tank cleans, temperature monitoring, cooling towers and chlorination – steam boilers.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients.
