Job Description

Our client is known for their expert provision of a complete range of services for industrial and commercial water treatment markets across the country. The company are now looking to employ a well‑versed and multi‑skilled Water Treatment Service Chemist in the Hull area and will include applications from Pocklington, Goole, Beverly and the surrounding areas.

Requisites
  • The applicant must come from a strong educational, chemical, technical, management and accounts background.
  • Must be methodical and efficient.
  • Hold some form of qualification – City & Guilds would be beneficial.
  • Have good analytical skills.
  • Experience working on various industrial systems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Must have hands‑on experience on cooling towers, steam boilers, etc.
  • Must be fully conversant with the water treatment industry and the Health & Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Visiting sites and carrying out chemical analysis on steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems and complying with L8.
  • Working on a variety of Commercial, Industrial and Manufacturing clients.
  • Updating information – log books.
  • Providing consultancy advice as and when required.
  • Dealing with any issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular base – building and maintaining a good working rapport.

In general, the successful applicant will be of smart disposition, flexible, have good work ethic and at the same time manage workload well and complete workload within time frame.
