Job Overview

Our client is a national water company providing water treatment and legionella services across the UK. Due to recent contract wins they are recruiting a Water Treatment Service Chemist based in the Central Belt. The role is open to candidates from Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a water treatment service chemist role
• Extensive experience analysing steam boilers, closed systems and cooling tower water
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good working knowledge of the water treatment/hygiene industry
• Competent with the Microsoft Office package

Responsibilities

• Chemical analysis on cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems
• Maintenance of domestic and industrial water systems
• Routine monitoring tasks at multiple sector properties
• Dosing, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and system disinfection
• Flushing of calorifiers
• Updating site log books
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients
