Job description

Our client is an industry-leading water treatment consultancy offering an extensive range of water treatment and legionella services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced, reliable and highly-skilled Service Chemist based in and around the Essex/Anglia area to join their team. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience undertaking chemical analysis of steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems as well as dosing of systems and chemical tank cleaning duties. Applications from Colchester, Romford, Harlow, Chelmsford and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working as a water treatment service chemist role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential.
• Proficient IT skills – including competency using Microsoft Office package.

Duties within the Role

• Chemical Analysis on Cooling towers, Steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems.
• Maintenance on Domestic and Industrial water systems.
• Routine monitoring tasks at multiple sector properties.
• Dosing of systems, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and disinfection of systems.
• Providing the full range of Service Chemist duties on an array of systems across a variety of sectors.
• Flushing of Calorifiers.
• Updating of Site Log Books.
• Chemical tank cleans, temperature monitoring, cooling towers and chlorination – steam boilers.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients.
