Job description

Our client are a well‑established and highly successful water treatment company with a large presence nationwide. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced, confident Water Treatment Sales/Business Development Manager in the South East region. Consideration will be given to applications from Essex, Hertfordshire, London and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience
  • Experience in a solid chemical, technical, management, business development and sales background.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the water treatment industry.
  • Good understanding and awareness of the water treatment industry and legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office package.
Key Responsibilities
  • Grow and develop the business.
  • Manage and maintain existing Steam Boiler, Cooling Tower and Closed System accounts, and sell the company’s consultancy water treatment/legionella services.
  • Incorporate analysis of water treatment processes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Secure, manage and develop key accounts from existing customer base while sourcing new ones.
  • Carry out service visits and manage workload efficiently.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with the company’s large and mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Meet targets and goals.
  • Oversee staff – site and office.
  • Deal with any issues appropriately and effectively.

In general, the post-holder will be a good team player with the drive to move the company forward.
