Job description

Due to current on- growth of the business, this prominent and diversified water treatment company with a large client base in the UK is proactively seeking for an ambitious, self-driven Water Treatment Operations Manager based in the South East and will include applications from Essex, London and the surrounding areas.

The individual must come from a strong technical, chemical, operational, commercial, management, accounts and sales background and at the same time must have proven track record working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry. Significant experience is required for this role.

Must be fully conversant the water treatment industry and legislation.

Must have good communication, organizational, people management, client-facing, leadership and presentational skills.

Must be proficient using the Microsoft Office Package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Running the business effectively.
  • Will be responsible for the operational side of the business.
  • Managing the staff/teams – training and developing the staff, setting up management systems.
  • Managing staff/team/consultants on site and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensuring services are carried out effectively and dealing with equipment.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
  • Managing and dealing with issues effectively and ensure contracts are completed and within time line.
  • Quotations for jobs undertaken.
  • Meeting client’s requirements.
  • Attending meetings as and when required.
  • Generating new business leads.
  • Providing technical support to clients and contractors.
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments and auditing.
  • Health & Safety – following the procedures and adhering to the company’s policies.
  • Running contracts and coordinating – providing quotations and tenders to the highest level.
  • Getting involved with training and recruiting and updates.
  • Dealing and controlling the company’s expenses.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out within time line and client satisfaction – prioritizing workload.
  • Assisting staff.
  • Ensuring that targets are achieved – profit and loss.
  • Building and maintaining good relationship with clients from all levels.
  • Getting involved with training of staff and recruitment and appraisals.
  • Improving productivity and efficiency.
  • Managing accounts and clients effectively.
  • Key Performance Indicators.
  • Promoting and growing their business rapidly.
  • Dealing with any issues effectively and appropriately.
