Job summary

UKSE Group is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a 4-week contract on a water treatment site in Reading. The role involves operating 5-tonne and 13-tonne excavators, digging and backfilling trenches, and maintaining site safety.

Applicants must hold a CPCS Blue Card for excavators, EUSR Water, and Thames Water Passport (training can be provided). Standard site PPE is required. Start date 02/11/2026; working hours 7:30 am–4:30 pm; paid 8.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS Blue Card covering excavators below 10 tonnes and above 10 tonnes.
• Valid EUSR Water (training can be provided).
• Valid Thames Water Passport (training can be provided).
• Previous experience operating 5-tonne and 13-tonne excavators.
• Standard site PPE including safety boots, hard hat, hi-vis and appropriate workwear.

Responsibilities

• Operating 5-tonne and 13-tonne excavators.
• Digging trenches for site works.
• Backfilling trenches once work is complete.
• Carrying out excavation works safely and efficiently.
• Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
