Job description

Our client, a well-established and successful player within the water treatment industry are currently looking to recruit an experienced Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the York area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong water treatment background and will be accustomed to undertaking duties such as cleaning and chlorination on cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems. Applications from Malton, Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Tadcaster and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

• Must come from a strong educational, chemical and water treatment background.
• Previous experience working as a water treatment engineer within the water treatment industry.
• Will be fully conversant with current guidelines and legislation.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of water softeners and working on chlorine dioxide units.
• Installing, servicing and troubleshooting with dosing and control equipment as well as pre‑treatment plants and water softeners.
• Chemical cleaning, chlorination and disinfection on cooling towers, tanks etc.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Build & maintain a strong relationship with the company’s clients.
