Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking a Junior Account Manager to support an established customer base within the water treatment sector. You will build client relationships, provide technical guidance, and help manage day-to-day service needs.

The role is ideal for someone progressing from a water treatment engineering background or an existing junior account manager seeking a new challenge; you will work closely with the Area Manager to deliver excellent customer service and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Experience within the water treatment or water hygiene industry.
• Hands-on experience using site test kits.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop customer accounts across your region.
• Carry out site visits and use water treatment test kits.
• Provide technical guidance on cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems.
• Produce reports and maintain records using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Work closely with the Area Manager to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience within the water treatment or water hygiene industry.
• Hands-on experience using site test kits.
• Experience with steam boilers and cooling towers.
• Good understanding of HSG274, BG50 and L8 guidance.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, ambitious and team-focused attitude.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
