Job description

An opportunity has arisen within water treatment company who provide a wide range of water treatment and legionella services to a varied client base. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Dundee area. The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out water treatment/hygiene duties and will ideally have considerable experience carrying out closed system analysis. Consideration will be given to applications from Arbroath, Perth, Newburgh and the surrounding areas.

Essential Experience & Qualification:
  • The applicant must come from a strong water treatment/chemical background.
  • Previous experience working in this role within the water treatment industry.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification would be advantageous to the role.
  • Must have effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office package.
Duties within the Role:
  • To monitor client’s air and water systems ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Carry out on site testing of cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heating/chilled systems.
  • Undertake cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems.
  • Carry out cleaning and disinfection of water tanks, cooling systems and descaling calorifiers.
  • To assist with cleaning and flushing of closed heating/chilled systems.
  • Undertake temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and chemical analysis of water systems.
  • To produce accurate and comprehensive service reports.
  • To complete and maintain logbooks with accuracy.
  • To build and maintain a professional working rapport with our large portfolio of clients.
