Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and installations ensuring compliance.
  • Provide comprehensive service and water treatment reports.
  • Install Chlorine Dioxide Units and other water treatment systems.
  • Test closed and domestic systems on sites.
  • Clean and disinfect cooling systems and CWST.
  • Conduct Closed System Analysis and descaling work.
  • Monitor temperatures and perform routine sampling.

Job description

This company who provides specialist water treatment services to clients across the UK is actively seeking to employ a Water Treatment Engineer based in Bournemouth. Consideration will be given to applications from Ferndown, Poole, Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Have previous experience working within this role in the water treatment industry.
  • Must come from a good educational, chemical, technical, legionella background.
  • Experience of refurbishment of tanks and towers would be beneficial.
  • Fully conversant with the current guidelines – ACOP L8, and the relevant health & safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out site surveys and installations ensuring sites are fully compliant with L8 and Code of Conduct.
  • Provide clear and concise service and water treatment reports.
  • Installation of Chlorine Dioxide Units, Steam boilers, reverse osmosis plants & water softeners.
  • Carry out testing on closed and domestic systems on sites.
  • Clean and disinfect on CWST and cooling systems etc.
  • Provide Closed System Analysis, Flushing of water systems, acid scale inspections and descaling work.
  • Cleaning calorifiers.
  • Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, analyse and interpret results on water systems.
  • Maintain paperwork and ensure all work is carried out effectively.
