Job description

Our client is a highly regarded water management consultancy providing a range of outstanding water treatment services to established clients nationwide. The company is currently recruiting for a hardworking, versatile and multi‑skilled Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Slough area. The successful postholder will come from a strong water treatment background with excellent technical knowledge and skills undertaking duties such as cleaning and chlorination on cooling towers as well as hot and cold systems. The successful candidate must also have considerable experience carrying out closed system analysis. Applications from Guilford, Reigate, Crawley, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
  • Varied and valid experience working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
  • Well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities
  • Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
  • Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Carrying out closed system analysis including monitoring and sampling.
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
  • Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems – closed circuits, steam boilers, etc.
  • Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
  • Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.

Overall the successful candidate will be versatile, flexible and reliable and must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
