Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a talented Water Process Engineer to join our Water Engineering team in the UK. The role delivers water treatment projects, designing and optimising process solutions with multidisciplinary colleagues.

You’ll produce mass balances, size processes, analyse flow and quality data, and prepare PFDs, schematics, and technical reports for regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates will have 4–5 years’ experience in potable water treatment design, a relevant degree

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering water treatment process design projects.
• Experience in the UK water sector or similar environments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and trends.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical design deliverables such as mass balance calculations and process sizing.
• Analyse flow and water quality data to support asset performance.
• Develop PFDs, schematics, control philosophies and performance specifications.
• Provide commissioning and optimisation support for projects.
