Job description

Our client are a leading player within the water treatment/water hygiene industry and due to continued success they are currently looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Water Treatment Commercial/Operations Manager to work for them in the South East region. Consideration will be given to applications from London, Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience
  • The applicant must come from a strong chemical, technical, people management and accounts background.
  • Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Will be well‑versed with the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
  • Previous experience in this or similar role within the water industry essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • To ensure all works on site and within the office are carried out efficiently.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
  • Collating the profit & loss information including costs and expenditure.
  • Ensuring profit margins are achieved.
  • Reporting figures at regular meetings with management.
  • Planning of site work and allocation of staff.
  • Identifying training and development for the team.
  • Conduct staff reviews.
  • Involvement with recruitment of staff.
  • To take the lead on key projects.
  • All jobs to be completed on budget.
  • Contracts to be completed within timescales set.
  • Training records to be kept and updated as necessary.
  • Control of staffing levels so working practices/contracts are not compromised.
  • Management meetings to be held with staff to update on any issues that may impact on the business.
  • To take control of any disciplinary issues, including sickness and ensure they are dealt with appropriately.
  • Ensuring that staff comply with the relevant Health & Safety and company procedures.
