Job summary

HomeServe UK in Gloucester is seeking a Water Supply Pipe Engineer to repair and maintain water supply systems in customers’ homes. You’ll work around 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with a competitive salary and a guaranteed first-year bonus.

You’ll receive a company van and fuel card, tools, PPE, paid overtime and a strong training programme to support your development while helping customers when they need it most.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection).
• Strong customer service skills.

Join HomeServe as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

• Location: Gloucester
• Salary: £33,220 - £37,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours: You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work in customer’s homes carrying out repairs and maintenance on water supply systems.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
• Laying and replacing pipework
• Excavation and reinstatement work where required
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
• Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
• A positive, proactive approach to your work

Training & support

We’ll set you up for success from day one with a structured onboarding programme:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced HomeServe WSP Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
