Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analyst to develop datasets, forecast demand, and build reporting using Power BI and GIS in Peterborough. You will work with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights for long-term planning in the water sector.

Based in Peterborough, the role focuses on enhancing data quality and governance, deploying Python-based automation, and delivering informative visualisations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience building, managing and interpreting datasets and analytical models.
• Advanced Excel and database experience.
• Power BI reporting and visualization experience.
• GIS and spatial data experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve datasets, databases and reporting systems underpinning long-term planning.
• Support Water Resources Management Plan reporting requirements.
• Maintain and enhance demand forecasting and demand management models.
• Build and improve reporting with Power BI, GIS and databases.
• Use Python and other tools to improve data management, automation and reporting.
• Manage large datasets on water demand, population, leakage and planning metrics.
• Support scenario testing, modelling and analysis for decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and external partners.
• Promote data quality, governance and continuous improvement.
