Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Water Recycling team, overseeing daily operations, driving efficiency and sustainability across Tilbury, Basildon, Brentwood and surrounding areas. Candidates should bring extensive water recycling leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a solid health and safety background.

A full UK driving licence and a willingness to engage in standby management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water Recycling environment with leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Customer service orientation for internal and external teams.
• Health and safety knowledge (IOSH or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure processes deliver environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Activo management of resources and schedule to meet demand.
• Champion collaboration across catchment areas.
• Develop employees through coaching and training.
• Prevent and manage operational incidents effectively.
• Ensure assets are maintained to service level agreements and policy.
• Comply with Water Recycling Procedures and safety requirements.
• Engage regulators and customers (Environment Agency, Health & Safety Exec, local authorities).
• Identify capital investment needs and build business cases.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Welfare of all staff through company policies.
• Allocate costs across revenue and capital appropriately.
