Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Production Technician for the Maundown site on Exmoor. You will operate, maintain and optimise water production facilities to provide high-quality drinking water while minimising environmental impact.

You will perform planned maintenance and reactive tasks, prioritising workload with some out-of-hours standby and weekend work. Full training, including an NVQ in water treatment, is provided, and a company van is available for business use.

Qualifications

• Experience in the water industry desirable but not essential.
• Ability to interpret and analyse data to make informed decisions.
• Good communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
• Flexible, team-focused yet able to work independently.
• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
• Working knowledge of MS Office is desirable; PC literacy essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and optimise water production sites to supply high-quality drinking water while minimising environmental impact.
• Complete planned maintenance to meet compliance and respond to site issues.
• Handle reactive work and prioritise tasks effectively, including during out-of-hours standby and weekends.
