Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 in any degree discipline, obtained in the last 3 years or currently being studied.
• Must have graduated by September 2027 for the 2027 intake.
• Curiosity, ambition and readiness to learn.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Collaborative working approach.
• Interest in technology products and passion for the water industry.
• Flexibility, as placements may vary across the region and departments.
• Willingness to attend a face-to-face assessment centre at an Anglian Water location.

Responsibilities

• Complete a structured two-year graduate programme with diverse operational placements.
• Respond to operational incidents, manage risks and maintain service performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, resilience and efficiency through planning and optimisation.
• Work directly with operational teams and understand day-to-day service delivery.
• Learn how financial, contractual and commercial decisions support operational success.
• Understand how waste is transformed into valuable resources while supporting environmental and sustainability objectives.
• Gain insight into water production, distribution networks, customer outcomes and operational performance.
• Develop understanding of safety leadership, risk management and regulatory responsibilities.
• Shadow teams supporting front-line operational teams.
• Deliver meaningful projects that create value for the business.
• Develop operational leadership capability for future complex-team leadership.
