Job summary

Marshalls plc is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the Water Management precast concrete operations across its UK network. This field-based role requires extensive travel between Mells, Pollington, and West Lane sites, delivering technical leadership, compliant processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in precast concrete, concrete products or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of concrete design, materials and product performance.
• Proven track record in manufacturing process improvement and problem solving.
• Understanding of concrete standards, testing and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading technical investigations, trials and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Water Management product portfolio to meet quality and compliance requirements.
• Lead development and optimisation of concrete mix designs and manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality, productivity, cost reduction, sustainability and efficiency.
• Support new product development from concept to production launch.
• Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis and problem-solving across production.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Materials Development to meet objectives.
• Develop technical capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor performance to reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction.
• Support sales with technical queries and solution-based thinking.
• Drive Marshalls low carbon product initiatives through collaboration.
