Job summary

IES Utilities Group is seeking an experienced Water Leakage Technician to support leakage detection and network performance activities across Colchester and surrounding areas. You will identify, locate and reduce water loss while working with operational teams and clients.

Responsibilities include leakage surveys using acoustic methods, data analysis, and adhering to safety and company standards to ensure reliable distribution networks.

Qualifications

• Experience in leakage detection or water network operations.
• Full UK Driving Licence required and comfortable driving a company van.
• Strong understanding of health and safety when working on utility networks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out proactive and reactive leakage detection across water networks.
• Identify and locate underground leaks on trunk mains and distribution networks.
• Record findings using reporting systems and support safety and QA processes.
• Plan daily workloads to meet client targets and investigate customer reports.
