A family-owned engineering firm in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter. This permanent role involves mechanical installations and repairs mainly within the Water Industry. You will work Monday to Friday in 12-hour shifts, earning £260 per day shift and £380 per night shift. Responsibilities

• Mechanical installations.
• Mechanical repairs including pumps, fans, and gearboxes.
• General steel work, handrail, CAT ladders, platforms.
• Adhere to company's policies, procedures, and legal practices.
• Follow health and safety policies.
• Maintain quality management system.
• Leave sites clean and tidy.
• Read and follow design drawings (2D/3D).

Skills

Water industry experience

Full mechanical apprenticeship or qualifications

CSCS Card

Understand Engineering drawings

Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Excellent understanding of Health and Safety

Full UK Driving Licence
