Responsibilities

Job Title: Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer. Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Salary / Benefits £22k – £32k + Training + Benefits

Our client is a leading provider of Water Hygiene / Water Treatment services across the Midlands region. Due to acquiring new contracts they are now seeking to employ a Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer to cover a mixed portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will have experience in carrying out water sampling, temperature monitoring, cooling tower cleans, sample analysis and ensuring to sample with correct chemicals. Due to the nature of the contracts, the successful candidate must be happy to travel in line with company / client needs. In return, our client can offer excellent training opportunities to build on knowledge in closed systems, cooling towers, competitive salary, holiday allowance and company pension scheme and will schedule own workload efficiently allowing flexibility.

Experience & Qualifications

• Extensive experience working for a known Water Hygiene / Water Treatment company, working as an engineer.
• Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of HSG / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Ability to organise workload efficiently, will be flexible in line with company / client needs.
• Confident in using handheld PDA systems.
• Excellent communication skills.

The Role

• Routine temperature monitoring.
• Water sampling.
• Hot and cold-water tank inspections, cleans and disinfection.
• Cleaning and descaling showerheads.
• Cooling tower cleans.
• TMV servicing and failsafes.
• CWST drop tests.
• Carrying out flushing of little used outlets.
• Carrying out closed system sampling and dosing correctly with required chemicals.
• Using handheld PDA to collect information.
• Ensuring onsite logbooks are accurate and up to date.
• Working in line with ACoP L8 / HSG guidelines.
