Omega is recruiting a Water Hygiene Technician to support a leading facilities management provider in Greater London. You will inspect cold water storage tanks, conduct Legionella risk assessments, sample water, and ensure compliance with regulations to keep sites safe.

The role requires nationwide travel and a Full UK driving licence, with occasional overnight stays. You will work at height and in confined spaces, coordinating with site teams, and maintaining accurate documentation across

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in water hygiene or a similar field service role.
• Strong knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella control procedures.
• Experience conducting Legionella risk assessments and water sampling.
• Experience cleaning and chlorinating water systems.
• Familiarity with water regulations and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and IT/documentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
• Physically fit to work at height and in confined spaces.

Responsabilités

• Sample CWSTs, cold outlets, and hot water systems.
• Audit compliance folders to ensure routine jobs meet standards.
• Communicate with site management and operations teams about work completed.
• Complete documentation on arrival and departure from each site.
• Report non-compliance with water regulations and raise remedial requests.
• Plan and deliver scheduled site visits within timescales.
• Support night shift teams and maintain daily management communication.

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of a Water Hygiene Technician assist in the delivery of an effective national water hygiene service to ensure statutory responsibilities are met and providing a safe working environments for employees and clients.

• Inspect and clean cold water storage tanks and associated systems.
• Carry out and complete site-specific Legionella risk assessment review reports.
• Undertake cleaning and chlorination of tanks and systems, often outside of trading hours.
• Appropriately sample CWSTs, cold outlets, and hot water systems.
• Audit compliance folders to ensure routine jobs are completed to standard.
• Communicate with site management and operations teams regarding all work carried out.
• Complete all documentation and registers on arrival and departure from each site.
• Report non-compliance with water regulations and raise remedial work requests as required.
• Plan and deliver scheduled site reviews, ensuring all visits are completed within agreed timescales.
• Support night shift teams and maintain daily communication with line management.

Qualifications & Requirements – Water Hygiene Technician:

• Demonstrable experience within water hygiene or a similar field service environment.
• Strong knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella control procedures.
• Previous experience conducting Legionella risk assessments, water sampling, and tank inspections.
• Experience in cleaning and chlorination of water systems.
• Awareness of water regulations and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and IT skills for documentation and reporting.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight where required.
• Physically fit and able to work at height and in confined spaces.
