Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer
Location: Glasgow, Central Scotland.
Salary / Benefits £24k – £38k + Training + Benefits

A well established and nationally recognised Water Hygiene / Legionella management company are now recruiting to take on a Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer to cover Commercial and Industrial sites across the Central Belt of Scotland. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a longstanding and friendly team of engineers, in a company where they offer tailored training plans for employees. Our client can offer further training on process systems and other areas of the water industry as well as competitive packages and salaries. Due to the nature of the role, you must be happy to travel in line with company / client needs.

Consideration will be given to candidates from:

  • Hamilton, East Kilbride, Paisley, Kilmarnock, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Edinburgh, Penicuik, Stirling, Kincardine, Alloa, Dunfermline, Kirkaldy
Experience & Qualifications
  • Holding the City and Guilds / NVQ L2 or higher in Plumbing is essential to the role.
  • Experience working as a Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer for an established Water Hygiene / Legionella management company would be beneficial to the role.
  • Well versed in HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
  • Able to update onsite logbooks.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
The Role
  • Working on Commercial and Industrial sites conducting water sampling & temperature monitoring.
  • Conducting fault‑finding and ensuring any issues are fixed in a timely manner.
  • TMV servicing, repairing, and replacing.
  • Failsafe testing.
  • Deadleg removals.
  • CWST cleans and disinfections.
  • Showerhead cleans and descales.
  • Flushing of little used outlets.
  • Removing, re‑routing, and replacing of PVC and copper pipework.
  • Working in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8.
  • Updating onsite logbooks upon completion of work.
