A leading water treatment company is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer / Supervisor to carry out water hygiene duties across various sites in Essex and surrounding areas.   • Carry out water hygiene duties across various sites.
  • Conduct temperature monitoring and sampling.
  • Perform showerhead cleaning and disinfection.
  • Flush small unused outlets.
  • Purge calorifiers and clean tanks.

Job Title

Water Hygiene Engineer / Supervisor

Location

Brentwood, Essex – covering regional contracts across Essex, Kent and East London (including Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Rainham, Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford, Wickford, Basildon, Rayleigh, Rochford, Southend‑on‑Sea, Canvey Island, Stanford‑le‑Hope, Grays, Dartford, Erith, Gravesend, Bexleyheath and Sidcup).

Salary / Benefits

£24,000 – £34,000 per annum, plus company vehicle and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out water hygiene duties across local authority, commercial and leisure sites.
  • Temperature monitoring and sampling.
  • Showerhead cleaning and disinfection.
  • Flushing of small unused outlets.
  • Calorifier purging.
  • Tank cleaning and disinfection.
  • Tank upgrades.
  • Compressed water system testing (CWST) inspections.
  • Basic remedial work on domestic systems including dead‑leg removals.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience working for a water hygiene / treatment company.
  • Working knowledge of ACoP Level 8.
  • Friendly, personable demeanour and ability to work well as part of a team.
