Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines.
• Conduct showerhead disinfections and TMV inspections.
• Perform flushing of little-used outlets and water sampling.
• Update site logbooks and complete service reports.

Our client has a strong presence across the Central Belt of Scotland, and is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to service new client contracts. Duties are varied and will require a candidate who ideally holds a broad range of hands‑on experience. Access to the M8 would be beneficial as client contracts sit along this region. You will be covering sites across: Paisley, Clydebank, Glasgow, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Belshill, Shotts, Forth, Bathgate, Falkirk, Bo’ness, Linlithgow, Bathgate, Livingston, Larkhall, Carluke, Lanark, Airdrie, Cumbernald, Stirling, Queensferry, Currie, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Dunblane.

Experience / Qualifications

• Will be working as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a Water Hygiene / Legionella company
• Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
• Ideally, candidates will have experience and qualifications within plumbing / remedials, but this is not essential
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Able to use IT software to complete reports
• Hardworking attitude

The Role

• Ensuring client sites remain compliant with ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines
• Showerhead disinfections
• TMV inspections and servicing
• Acid descales
• Flushing of little used outlets
• Water sampling
• Temperature monitoring
• Chlorinations
• Calorifier inspections
• Updating site logbooks as well as completing regular service reports
