Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH company, is seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of hydrometric and environmental monitoring projects across the UK. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to work across project coordination, reporting, and client liaison in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

You will build relationships with clients and colleagues, monitor costs and schedules, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget,

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination or delivery.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Experience producing reports and working with data.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in water/environmental/engineering sectors.
• Experience with hydrometric or environmental data.
• Proposal writing or bid support experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities from initiation through completion.
• Monitor costs, schedules and performance.
• Prepare reports, proposals and client communications.
• Manage project administration and performance reporting.
• Review and quality assure hydrometric/environmental data.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support project profitability and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with technical, operational and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
