Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking a talented Cost Manager based in the Southwest to work on major infrastructure projects that are innovative and complex. You will join an established team delivering cost management across the project lifecycle, from inception to completion, for clients such as Southwest Water and the Environment Agency.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying degree, MRICS or working towards, and experience in large-scale infrastructure with NEC4 contracts; hybrid working options are

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• MRICS accreditation or working towards membership.
• Experience in cost management on large infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC).
• Experience in a multi-organisational, collaborative environment.
• Experience in a client organisation or secondment arrangement would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception through to completion, working with peers and Directors, client and others as required (feasibility estimates, cost planning, procurement, tender docs, value engineering, cost reporting).
• Maintain high standards of professional competence and reinforce the firm’s profile with clients and contacts.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication and the performance management process.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with clients and uphold the firm’s profile as a premium service provider.
• Actively support the internal team and mentor junior staff.
