Jacobs Engineering Group in Reading invites penultimate year students to join a Civil Engineering Intern – Regulated Water for an eight‑week summer programme. The internship runs across Jacobs hub offices in the UK and Ireland, including Reading, giving you hands‑on experience in water/wastewater networks, asset management and project delivery.

You’ll work with mentors and teams, applying university knowledge to real projects while developing professional networks and skills for your future

Qualifications

• On track to complete a MEng Civil Engineering or MEng Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2028.
• Penultimate year student finishing degree in 2028 eligible for an eight‑week summer internship.
• Must have full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying classroom skills to live water sector projects.
• Collaborate with Jacobs water professionals across hub offices on project work.
• Develop skills through mentoring and structured guidance throughout the internship.
