Skilled Operative – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

We are seeking a Skilled Operative with specific experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation, particularly in the installation and handling of LV cables. The successful candidate will support a major BESS project in North Yorkshire, contributing to electrical installation works, site operations, and safe execution of project tasks in line with engineering drawings and site procedures. This is a long-term opportunity for an operative with strong electrical infrastructure experience, ideally within BESS, substations, renewables, or distribution networks. The ideal candidate would be able to install, terminate, and route LV cables across the BESS site in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Assist with general electrical installation works, including containment, cable pulling, and equipment placement. Support site supervisors and engineers with day-to-day tasks including preparation of work areas, material handling, and equipment setup. Ensure all works are carried out safely, following CDM regulations, site RAMS, and permit-to-work systems. CSCS & EUSR is essential, CPCS, IPAF is desired but not essential. This role is inside IR35 with CIS as an option.
