Job summary

Veolia is seeking an on-site Oversize sorting operative in the UK to support our plant operations. The role involves assisting the sorting station, ensuring material separation, and maintaining a clean work area as part of a 45-hour week with occasional overtime.

You will assist with daily plant maintenance and may cover other LBW roles, contributing to a safe, efficient, and compliant operation in a pretty wooded area near Basigborough. We offer training, pension access, and health resources.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or plant operations setting.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in maintaining the efficient running of the Oversize picking station.
• Ensure materials are separated to meet the required standards.
• Handpick individual materials off the sorting conveyor as directed.
• Ensure the work area is kept in a clean and tidy condition during and at the end of the working day.
• Undertake cleaning duties of the plant when required.
• Provide support with daily routine maintenance of the plant.
• To be able to cover for other positions within LBW i.e litter picking duties.
