Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting Reuse & Waste Recycling Operatives at its Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS). You will identify, assess and charge residents for their chargeable waste while helping the public dispose of waste and delivering a high-quality service.

Two full-time positions are available with usual patterns at RHWS/WTS sites. The role requires good communication, a solid understanding of waste health and safety, and the ability to travel across the county as

Qualifications

• Good understanding of waste Health & Safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle all customers in a polite and professional manner.
• The ability to converse with ease with customers and provide advice and information in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to travel to locations across the county as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and charge residents for their chargeable waste.
