Job Title: Front of House Assistant (FHA)
Reporting to: Front of House Manager
Work schedule: 35 hours per week – 14:00 to 22:00, 22:00 to 06:00 (4 on 2 off roster). All shifts include some weekend working. Fixed shift start/finish times.
Job objectives and responsibilities
- Work within the Transport Team, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Follow the Company's Health, Safety and Quality procedures.
- undertake successfully the training matrix specific to this role.
Main duties
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order (e.g. PAT tested).
- Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning process, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to each task.
- Complete tasks to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the contract and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by Duty Manager/Management.
- Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises and attend all necessary training.
- Comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislation and premises policies.
- Log in and out using the agreed process – this must be an accurate record of the operatives contracted hours and reflect the start time and finish time on a daily basis.
- Work in line with the client's safe working practices and airport requirements and ensure others abide by the same rules.
- Be aware of material expenditure and avoid unnecessary waste.
- Report any maintenance defects to the Duty Manager.
- Understand and observe MITIE PFI's and Client site rules at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and dress appropriately.
- Wear protective clothing (PPE) as issued.
- Observe all Company and Client statutory fire and safety regulations and promote good safety habits.
- Deal with complaints within the job holder’s duties and report these immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as apparent or as instructed by the Duty Manager/Management.
- Undertake any other related duties within capability and as directed by the Duty Manager.
- Carry out all duties within the premises including the use of rotary machine and all aspects of cleaning throughout the premises.
- Office cleaning, litter picking of external areas including car parks, grit (full UK driving licence required – vehicles will be 4x4 L200, Transit Tipper), hand gritters, jet washing, gum removal.
- Full training and uniform provided.

- Must fall into the required shift pattern as deemed suitable to meet contractual requirements.

- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via the divisional incident reporting system.
