Overview

Domestic Waste Technician

Location: Peterborough (Field-Based)
Salary: Equivalent to £27,500 per annum
Contract: Initial 12-week contract
Hours: 40 hours per week – Flexible shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm

About the Role

My client is looking for a Domestic Waste Technician to support the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across Water Recycling Centres. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being on the move and delivering excellent customer service while promoting environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations at domestic waste import sites
  • Conduct site and equipment checks, troubleshoot issues and maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Promote and uphold health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Sample and assess waste for compliance and report any irregularities
  • Provide professional, friendly support to customers and site teams
