Job summary

Belfast City Council is seeking an Information & Data Analyst to support the Waste and Fleet Logistics team with data maintenance, performance analysis and reporting. The role involves working with operational systems, data quality checks and providing evidence for management decisions.

You will contribute to FOI requests, route planning and GIS mapping, ensuring accurate information to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience handling high-volume data entry and updating operational databases.
• Ability to manipulate and analyse complex data to produce actionable metrics.
• Experience retrieving information to support FOIs and management information requests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accurate operational data across systems.
• Analyse waste collection data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Produce regular and ad hoc management reports and dashboards.
• Investigate historical data to support FOI requests and complaints.
• Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies with managers.
• Support GIS mapping and route planning activities.
• Liaise with stakeholders to improve data flows between systems.
• Provide data-driven evidence for resource allocation.
• Offer basic system support and user training.
• Ensure data protection and information governance compliance.
• Provide cover for route balancing and optimization mapping.
