Job summary

Waste Disposal Operative needed in Croydon

This is a temporary role and the rate is £13.18ph PAYE

The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality bulk, general waste and void property clearance services across our estates, acting as a visible and reliable presence for residents and contributing to safe, clean and well‑maintained neighbourhoods. They will work efficiently to collect and clear non‑domestic refuse, maintain tidy work areas, record collections accurately, and support colleagues to provide seamless services. They will engage positively with residents, offering basic advice and managing expectations, while reporting repairs, noting waste hotspots, and helping to improve the local environment. They will demonstrate our HEART values through everyday behaviours, work safely in all weather conditions, use provided tools and equipment responsibly, and operate company vehicles in line with transport legislation. They will bring experience of clearance duties, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, sound health and safety awareness, basic numeracy for stock and invoicing, and the capability to plan and prioritise their workload effectively.
