Job summary

Job description

Duration: full time, minimum of 4 weeks

Hours: 6am - 2pm

We are looking for someone who can supervise a crew, motivate them and develop a good work ethic. Working flexibly in cooperation with other rounds to ensure all daily schedules are completed. There is a particular requirement to provide specialist professional Large Goods Vehicle driving skills and to be responsible for other team members. Assist in reducing waste and diverting un-avoidable waste to re-use and recycling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate an HGV waste collection vehicle safely and in compliance with all regulations
  • Lead, support, and coordinate the collection crew throughout daily rounds
  • Ensure all scheduled waste, recycling, and food waste collections are completed on time
  • Conduct vehicle checks, maintain accurate paperwork, and report any defects
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew, and members of the public
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Assist with loading when required
Essentials
  • HGV Class 2 licence
