Job description

To assist in the collection and disposal of household, commercial, and recyclable waste in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. The role involves working as part of a team to ensure that waste is collected in accordance with the scheduled routes and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Load refuse, recycling, and garden waste into collection vehicles.
• Operate bin lifts and other equipment safely and in line with training.
• Ensure waste is collected from designated locations and returned neatly.
• Assist the driver in navigating routes and identifying collection points.
• Report any issues such as missed collections, damaged bins, or contamination.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the team in completing the daily round efficiently.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and cleaning duties as required
