Job summary

Hills Waste Solutions is seeking a Drivers Mate for our Lower Compton, Calne operation. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary of £28,681.38 per annum and a supportive team environment.

You will work alongside an LGV Driver across Wiltshire and surrounding areas, assisting with waste collection, route planning, and delivering a reliable service while maintaining high safety and customer care standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work in a team.
• Good geographical awareness and map reading for route planning.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform a physically active role.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection of trade waste and mixed recycling, including safe handling of wheelie bins.
• Complete and maintain accurate collection records and documentation.
• Assist with depot and yard duties to keep operations running smoothly.
• Maintain high health, safety and professionalism to support a positive working environment.
