Waste Champion - Food Manufacturing Temp Role to cover MAT Leave

Annual Salary - £29,500

Site based at our client site - 54 Church St, Caldewgate, Carlisle, CA2 5TG

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and execute the Imperfect Product sales agenda and associated site waste streams, reporting to the central functional lead.
  • Organise and maximise collection opportunities across each product category of imperfect product.
  • Collaborate effectively and escalated potential risks to key stakeholders.
  • Deliver documented reports on waste‑stream progress on a weekly basis to key stakeholders.
  • Cover multiple waste streams across the site, including card, plastic, animal feed, R1 Reduce, R2 Reuse, and R3 Recycle.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure maximum return is achieved where possible on the sale of waste.
  • Deliver the weekly and monthly Imperfect Product sales numbers versus forecast.
  • Support the UK Waste Specialist and Site Management Teams through reports and analysis that aid decision‑making.
  • Provide weekly net‑sales data and maintain the Imperfect Product Dashboard through tracking volume.

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, including data analysis, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and generating weekly and monthly reports.
