Job Overview

The two councils have a shared Chief Executive and a joint senior management team. Whilst they retain their own political structures and distinct identities, the joint management structure allows us to maximise the opportunity to deliver a wide range of good value services to our customers and communities, and operate and develop shared services, collaborative working and partnership arrangements with each other, with other councils and with key stakeholders.

We are looking for a proactive and personable individual with a can‑do attitude to join our team who can lead and co‑ordinate programmes and campaigns related to household waste prevention and recycling efficiency improvements and effect behavioural change. The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within the waste services sector.
  • Good understanding of current waste practices, legislation and behaviour change principles.
  • Significant experience of development and implementation of behaviour change/promotional/community engagement campaigns, targeting/working with residents/voluntary & community sector.
  • Strong written and content creation skills across multiple platforms.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with individuals and community groups.
