A defense consultancy firm is seeking a Wargaming Analyst / Designer to join their team in Bristol. This permanent role involves designing wargames, supporting project leads, and contributing to various operational research projects. Our wargaming covers a spectrum of academic research-informed decision support activity from facilitated discussion, through TTX to adversarial wargame. Our work is primarily in support of the Defense Experimentation and Wargaming Hub. We enable UK Defense to make better decisions, faster and with greater confidence.

You will be a 'doer' who is adaptable and who thrives in a dynamic environment, while being focused and methodical yet creative —a systems thinker able to challenge and to support a view. You will be self-assured and self-confident (but not arrogant), consultative and collaborative. You should have formal training in research and analysis, gained through M or PhD level academic studies, or military intelligence professional military education, or demonstrable equally methodical and rigorous training.
Naturally, the successful candidate will be fully inducted into our ways of working, notably the Analysis-Led Wargaming Framework and its supporting tools and methods. This was originated by CORDA and is now being further developed to become the Defense standard
