Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Warehouse & Yard Operator to support safe, efficient operations, inventory control, and timely deliveries across the supply chain. You will handle materials with forklifts, perform cycle counts, and uphold Lean/6S principles.

The role requires basic computer literacy, familiarity with SAP, and forklift certification; experience in warehouse logistics preferred. Join a global energy-technology leader.

Qualifications

• Hold an HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with business systems.
• Basic written communication and numerical skills.
• Experience in Warehouse, Logistics, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Inventory Operations (preferred).
• Forklift operating experience and certification (advantageous).
• Dangerous Goods certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Performing yard activities including loading, unloading, and movement of materials using forklifts and approved material-handling equipment.
• Ensuring materials are properly identified, preserved, labeled, and stored.
• Supporting on-time delivery through coordination with Logistics, Service Delivery, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Maintaining warehouse and yard layout standards that support efficient workflows.
• Supporting Lean and 6S initiatives across warehouse and yard operations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Participating in process improvement and operational excellence activities.
• Demonstrating company values and building positive working relationships with colleagues.
