Job summary

Booker is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager to support the site management team in efficient and cost-effective warehouse operations. You will ensure the daily warehouse runs smoothly, delivering the required level of service to customers at all times, and manage receiving, storage, picking and dispatch within budget and safety standards.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent to GCSE 4 and above.

• Knowledge of warehouse operations, productivity measures, and service delivery standards.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing demands.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Job description

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

You will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, whilst maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.

Qualifications recommended GCSE or equivalent to GCSE 4 and above.

• Understanding of performance management and colleague development processes.


• Relevant warehousing, logistics, or management qualifications.


• Experience with labour planning, resource allocation, or budget control.
