Job summary

Curaleaf International is seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader to manage daily warehouse operations in Sunderland. You will lead the team, oversee goods-in, despatch and stock control, and ensure accurate picking and processing while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor workloads, develop colleagues and deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor. A full driving licence and MHE certification are preferred. Pharmaceutical/GDP experience is valued.

Here at Curaleaf we're looking for a motivated, organised and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Sunderland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse worker to join a growing pharmaceutical company. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to lead and support a team in a busy, regulated environment.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play an important role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the team, covering goods-in, despatch and stock control. You will help ensure orders are picked, checked and processed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead by example, supporting colleagues, monitoring workloads and ensuring that daily targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, despatch and stock control.
• Support and guide the warehouse team to achieve operational targets and deadlines.
• Ensure orders are accurately picked, processed and despatched in line with customer and temperature requirements.
• Maintain stock accuracy and ensure goods are received, stored and recorded correctly.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, SOPs, data integrity and Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Escalate stock discrepancies, incidents and quality concerns promptly.
• Support colleague development, deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor and undertake deliveries when required.

About You

You will be a proactive and reliable team leader who enjoys working in a hands-on warehouse environment. You will have a flexible approach, the ability to prioritise effectively and the confidence to support and motivate colleagues.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stock control environment, ideally with some team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.
• Good written communication and the ability to complete paperwork accurately.
• A willingness to learn, develop and respond positively to feedback.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to identifying improvements.

A full, clean driving licence is essential, as you will be required to undertake same-day deliveries when needed.

• Experience working within a pharmaceutical or GDP-regulated warehouse environment.
• Current Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) certification, such as counterbalance or reach truck, or a willingness to obtain certification.
