Job Overview
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for managing a small team overseeing operations, inventory, and supervising order processing, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer demand
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery of products
- Implement and maintain warehouse best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or shipments
- Ensure temperature integrity for stock are maintained and data collected
- Escalate errors to the relevant Manager
- Ensure compliance of all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines by all direct reports
- Complete other duties as assigned
Skills And Experience
- Proven experience as a warehouse team leader or similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Proficient in inventory management and software systems
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
