Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to lead the 5 on, 2 off shift pattern from 08:00 to 16:00. You will drive productivity, service KPIs, and ensure H&S and quality controls are upheld.

Role involves managing Goods Inwards, developing the team, handling disciplinary matters, and maintaining attendance and overtime efficiency. A proactive, team-oriented leader is essential to fit into our winning culture.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel; able to use spreadsheets and data to drive decisions.
• Confident at dealing with people at all levels across the team and site.
• Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training and irregular working hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve KPI targets.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure quality and compliance checks are carried out to audit standards.
• Deliver briefings to communicate company and local issues and seek input from staff.
• Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick, damage-free receipts and stock availability.
• Develop team members and implement succession planning.
• Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews in line with company policy.
• Monitor sickness absence and conduct return-to-work interviews.
• Monitor time and attendance, overtime and agency staffing for efficiency.
• Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate training and health & safety representation on shift.

Job Description

Shift Pattern- 5 on 2 off 08:00am-16:00pm

• Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded
• Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensure relevant paperwork is completed and retained
• Ensuring that all Quality and compliance checks and controls are carried out and that the Operational team work to the Audit standard required.
• Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved
• Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders
• Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan
• Carry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure
• Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently
• Monitor and control the time and attendance system
• Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift
• Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures
• Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of Health & Safety representation on shift, eg. First Aiders; Fire Marshalls

Qualifications
